Foreigners who work within the territory of China may apply to the Exit-Entry Administration Bureau of the Ministry of Public Security of China for permanent residence in China under the premise of having worked for four consecutive years and actually resided for not less than six months each year with annual income no less than six times the average wage of the local on-duty workers in the previous year and the annual personal income tax no less than 20% of the annual wage income standard. Their foreign spouse and minor children may apply with them.
